Dr. Maksym Gaiduk

Senior Researcher

Maksym Gaiduk holds a 5,5-years Specialist degree (with distinction) in Computer Science from Kharkiv Polytechnical University in Ukraine (2011) and a Master's degree in Human Centered Computing from the Reutlingen University in Germany (2016). 

He received his PhD with distinction from the University of Seville, Spain, in 2022. The topic of his work was "Design and development of comprehensive digital solutions with application in the medical field: Human sleep analysis".

Since 2016 Maksym has been a researcher (currently senior researcher) in the Ubiquitous Computing Lab at HTWG Konstanz in Germany and is a member of the Computer Science faculty board. Several international research stays (including a three-month stay at Università Politecnica delle Marche in Ancona, Italy) have promoted his scientific development and initiation of research partnerships.

He has participated in several international projects: PredTour, DOOLEE, IBH Living Lab AAL, Home Health Living Lab, Sleep Lab at Home (SLaH), etc. From February 2019 to September 2019, he was a deputy project leader of the international project "Home Health Living Lab".

Maksym has the experience and his main research interests in several fields: medical/health informatics (especially sleep analysis), Ambient Assisted Living, sensor systems, physiological signal processing, etc.
